Tryst is participating in a new arts festival in Falkirk in July.

"For Falkirk's Sake" will be held in the Alehouse in Behind the Wall from 27 July to 2 August, and the organisers have asked Tryst to perform.

They’ll stage Sparks of Celestial Fire, a new play about Robert Burns by Falkirk writer Kenneth N. Ross.

With summer holidays fast approaching, it won’t be possible to rehearse and learn the words of the 75-minute play in time. So the organisers have asked Tryst to perform it with scripts, presenting it as if it were a radio play.

Tryst are appearing on the afternoon of Tuesday July 29. The Alehouse has a small stage, fitted out with lights, sound and TV screens, and can hold some 50-60 people.

Ten Tryst actors are involved. Brian Paterson is Burns, Carol Clark is Jean Armour and the eight Narrators are Jimmy Cairns, Kareen Cairns, Joanne Davidson, Rhona Law, Alan Clark, Elaine Cull, Brian Tripney and Jim Allan.

More details, including how to get tickets, will follow shortly.
