Tryst's production of David Mamet's Duck Variations has earned the club a number of trophies over the past few weeks.

At the East Kilbride One Act Festival, adjudicator Bruce Adam awarded the Alf Davidson Cup to Alan Clark for his portrayal of Emil Varec, while director Jim Allan was delighted to accept the John McNicol Cup for first place.

A trip to the Scottish Finals at the Eden Court Theatre in Inverness saw Tryst the first team to be awarded the Donald T. Farmer Trophy (presented by Wick Players in recognition of Donald's 30 years as club secretary) for best theatrical moment. The adjudicator praised the combination of sound and silhouette which did so much to punctuate the piece. The trophy haul was rounded off by the David Baxter Salver for third place.

Duck Variations will be joined by The Donahue Sisters for A Night with Tryst in Falkirk Town Hall this evening (Sunday 25th May) before taking flight next month to the Welwyn Drama Festival.
